If you’ve been following my blog, you all know by now that I am getting really serious with my German language challenge in the past weeks. Learning a language is an adventure on its own and I am enjoying it overall.

(Note: watch the video in HD for better quality!)

It’s not easy. Nobody ever said it was easy. I had to work on my self-motivation and self-discipline to keep at it. It’s obviously not just about learning grammar structures. It’s more about you as a person and your strong belief that you can speak whatever language you’re learning.

OK, enough about waxing philosophical about language learning. I took this video during the first days of my German language challenge with italki. You know the drill: the before and after videos. I am talking in German and explaining what my goals are for doing this challenge.

I’ll take another video after I reach the finish line. Hopefully I can hold longer conversations then and make myself understandable in German!

Are you learning a language too? Follow me on italki. You can read the rest of my German learning updates here.
