Greetings from Switzerland!

I just recently travelled to Zürich, Switzerland the other week and loved it. It’s a new city and a new country for me so I was very excited to be here. I mean I have been traveling around Europe since 2009 and I only travelled to Switzerland now. Shocking, I know!

I travelled with Michael and also met up with some of our friends who are based in the city (Hello Joel! Hello Omar!).

Zürich has always interested me ever since I’ve seen a feature of its bathing culture in Monocle magazine in 2007. I am a bit bummed though that it was still too cold for people to swim in its very clean lakes. So I never really got to see the Zürich I’ve wanted to see. I still enjoyed the city nevertheless.

We explored the city for 3 days and there are actually a lot of cool and interesting things around. I have always thought that Switzerland is pretty vanilla but in fairness Zürich was pretty happening. I will write a separate city guide for Zürich in the next weeks. Watch out for that!

Meanwhile, enjoy this video I created out of some of the videos we took while we were there. I am kind of obsessed with slow motion videos right now so I think I’ll deliberately create more of these in the future with more awesome footages. This was unplanned at all so I don’t have enough material to work with. I like the result though.

The shots were taken on a tram to the city, at Lindenhofplatz which has amazing views of Zürich, at the Old Town by the Grossmunster church and on a rooftop heated pool at B2 Boutique Hotel and Spa, a super amazing boutique hotel with a wine library, where we stayed on our first night.

Enjoy!
