Last year I met Sebastian, we shared stuff about blogging and I told him about it. He got really interested with it and wanted the same thing for his new website.
He bugged me a few times about it and asked for my help finding a cheap developer to create it for him.
I didn’t trust this guy one bit because so many bloggers has already warned me before that he is a douchebag. Their words, not mine.
I should have listened to them and to my gut feel.
But because I wanted to give people the benefit of the doubt, I ended up deciding to help him as a friend. I thought he will only use it for his new website. What could go wrong with that, right?
Well, a lot of things.
My biggest mistake is that I gave him my developer, who helped create and update my plugin.
My developer created a customised plugin for his new website based on my plugin. So Sebastian didn’t have to think of how this plugin works because it’s already there. Perfect for a man doesn’t have an inch of creativity to figure things out like this.
And I thought that was that. He launched his new website with the plugin in November. And we never talked after that.
On April 1, I saw that he was selling a plugin and bragging publicly that he made 6,000 euros last March from his new website and new plugin. I got curious and checked what it is…and BAM!
Sebastian is selling my email lead generator as his own plugin for 99 euros a piece.
I thought this was his April Fool’s joke.
I confronted him about it and you know what he said?

Well, I can let everyone else see for themselves if this is true. Feel free to try my eurotrip calculator and try his plugin on his website. The flow and concept of my calculator and even the wording of his plugin is copied on mine.
I am not here to discuss and compare the two plugins. It is pretty OBVIOUS what this guy did.
